The 10th annual Zephyrhills Economic Summit is Wednesday, Oct. 14, at City Hall Council Chambers, 5335 8th Street, with this year's program built around job growth in the industrial corridor. Admission is $25 and includes lunch from Chick-fil-A, according to the Greater East Pasco Chamber of Commerce listing.
The Zephyrhills Economic Development Coalition (ZEDC) hosts the summit each year. The chamber's event listing gives hours of 8 a.m. to noon, while the agenda on its summit page opens with registration, breakfast and networking from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m.
Who is speaking
City Manager Billy Poe opens the program, followed by an economic update from city Planning Director Rodney Corriveau titled "The Industrial Corridor at Work." Three Pasco EDC staff members follow: Tom Ryan on manufacturing, Turner Arbour leading a workforce panel on building the talent pipeline, and Ryan Gessman on roads, rail, land and logistics.
Lunch and networking, sponsored by Chick-fil-A Zephyrhills, starts at noon. Registration is available through a link on the chamber's economic summit page.
