Zephyrhills sidewalk work set to start in November on 6th Avenue, Airport Road and Zephyr Heights streets
Zephyrhills says sidewalk construction is scheduled to begin in November and should take about six months. The project covers 6th Avenue, Airport Road and several streets in Zephyr Heights, with the city warning that crews, equipment and temporary disruptions are likely in the affected areas.

Zephyrhills says sidewalk construction is set to start in November and should take about six months. The city says the work is part of its Sidewalk Master Plan, which is meant to expand the sidewalk network, connect existing pedestrian paths and improve safety and accessibility.
Where the work goes
The larger segment is along 6th Avenue and Airport Road, where the city lists about 3,800 linear feet of new 5-foot-wide concrete sidewalk. That work covers the north side of 6th Avenue from west of Airport Road to east of Mathis Street and the west side of Airport Road from south of Lincoln Avenue north to 6th Avenue.
A second segment is planned for Zephyr Heights, with about 2,200 linear feet of new 5-foot-wide concrete sidewalk on the south side of 3rd Avenue, the east side of Tangerine Drive and the east side of Beltram Drive.
What residents should know
The city says Garcia Civil Contractors LLC will do the work, and people in the affected blocks may see equipment, crews and temporary disruptions as construction moves along. Residents who use these streets should watch for city updates once work begins.
